“Giving Peace a Chance”

Worldwide Broadcast of California Dreaming Of Peace
Aired April 18, 2018 on Voice Of Peace Radio

It’s been said that if we don’t pay attention to history we’re doomed to repeat it. Listen this week as we salute the students of a Parkland, Florida high school and their efforts to highlight their demands for school safety directed at the policy makers in Washington through peaceful protest. Their combined voices were loud enough to be heard across the country by other student bodies who have joined them in numbers large enough to create a movement.

This week we turn back the clock to revisit other generations who used music to get their messages of peace heard by those same power brokers.

“Theater Of the Mind”
April 9, 2018

Worldwide Broadcast of California Dreaming Of Peace
Aired March 7, 2018 on Voice Of Peace Radio

This week we once again crank up the wayback machine to a time before television when radio audiences were like canvases upon which broadcasters painted verbal pictures, all that was required was an imagination and sincere attention.
Today VOLJ features two 13-minute compositions created by early twentieth century composer Gordon Jenkins. We’ll begin our whimsical cross country musical narrative at the Manhattan Tower and then celebrate history’s westward movement to Gold Rush California. We close the show with a salute to old time radio with an episode of The Adventures of Ozzie And Harriet.
Now, clcik no the images, close your eyes and LISTEN, you’ll SEE what we mean.
